Dor Wand is an ambient artist, DJ, and curator based in Los Angeles, whose work centers on creating spaces for decompression, reflection, and emotional reset. Moving between recorded music, radio, and physical environments, his practice is guided by a simple intention: to soften the pace and invite a deeper form of listening.

His debut album Alchemy of Being, released on Multi Culti, is a deep ambient exploration shaped by introspection, subtle movement, and the interplay between tension and release. Built from layered synths, live harp, and tuned percussion, the album unfolds as an inward journey - one that leans away from momentum and toward presence. Rooted in his idea of “deactivation through music,” it offers a space where rhythm becomes breath, and sound supports a gentle return to stillness.

Alongside his solo work, Dor is the founder of Beacon of Light, a project reimagining the role of chill-out spaces within contemporary music culture. Through sound, scent, and spatial design, it explores how shared environments can support rest, integration, and connection alongside the energy of the dance floor.

He is a resident on dublab, where he hosts Open Heart Social Club, and is closely involved with The Basement in Los Angeles, contributing to its intimate, community-driven approach to nightlife. Across all formats, his work holds a consistent thread: music as a way to guide energy downward, creating space for people to feel, process, and return to themselves.

Rooted in his concept of “deactivation through music,” the album invites a soft descent — guiding energy downward so the body can rest, the heart can open, and the mind can return to stillness. Rhythm slows into breath, movement turns inward, and sound becomes a space to land. Both intimate and expansive, Alchemy of Being unfolds as a quiet process of integration, bringing together mind and body, inhale and exhale — a subtle tool for presence and self-understanding.
